VISION: Report to CEO. This is the #2 hands-on leadership role within an entrepreneurial setting that provides professional healthcare services to hospitals and medical clinics. CEO grew business from concept to over $3M in revenues quickly by concentrating on Massachusetts markets. In Q2 of 2019, CEO secured a master contract that allows expansion across USA as well as exclusive arrangements with multiple hospitals in Massachusetts. Revenue goals for 2019 are $8-10M; revenues for 2020 could easily exceed $20M; and by 2021 to be in the $30-40M range……looking for a Type A leader with a hands-on, can-do attitude.
OPPORTUNITY: CEO will key on business development and operations management. VP Finance & Administration will be the business partner concentrating on infrastructure build out. Must be willing to roll-up your sleeves and get involved in everything. Team is small to start so role requires establishing controls, processes, policies, systems, and practices in the beginning and then leveraging all internal functions and hiring direct reports going forward. Here is an overview of responsibilities and opportunities to contribute:
Accounting: Everything from journal entries through month end close. Three biggest issues will be billing, payroll, and collections. Will establish new P/Ls as business expands. Will be liaison with external auditors on tax related compliance. Use QuickBooks to start and upgrade in future. Ensure accuracy of financial data….will get audited by different states and healthcare organizations….want to make sure everything is buttoned up
Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop a more formal budget and short term forecasting; analyze expenses and revenues trends; review profitability of key accounts; analyze revenue trends and margins; develop financial and operational analytics that will measure business performance
Treasury: Be responsible for all insurance programs; be liaison to lenders; partner on attracting additional funding; forecast and manage cash; implement and administrate profit sharing, 401K, and LTIP.
Human Resources: be responsible for all HR functions (many of which need to be established)….this will include handbook, compensation, benefits, background checks, training (learning & development), performance management, employee relations, organizational planning, HR policies, etc.
Business Administration: Be responsible for anything to do with office(s) including leases, parking, and maintenance; coordinate services for website, digital marketing, SEO/SEM, and advertising; be liaison on IT support including internet, mobile technology, CRM, and business related software; control all purchasing and vendor contracts; Administrate customer, vendor and employment contracts; partner with legal to expand operations in other states
Strategy: Be a strategic business partner and define milestones, goals, objectives, and deliverables, both short and long term/
REQUIREMENTS: BS Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA wanted. Seek 10+ years of business experience with 6+ years of financial management experience that includes full responsibility for a P/L. Must have had experience with a successful start-up. Ideal candidate has been in a successful entrepreneurial setting that expanded multi-state and had multiple P/Ls. Must have with human resource, IT administration and investor relations. NO RELOCATION CONSIDERED
REWARD: $150,000 to $175,000 DOE plus bonus ($50,000 to $300,000+)
