VISION: Located just south of Houston (just off Rt. 45) is the headquarters for an expanding engineering testing firm with over 2,500 employees in North America. Company has averaged over 10% annual growth since 2000 and continues to invest in their infrastructure and employees.
OPPORTUNITY: Report to VP Technology and lead a decentralized team of 9 that are scattered throughout USA and Canada. As the Network Operations Leader, plan and direct the design, installation, and connectivity of computer and network systems to support 75+ profit centers. Develop, configure and support network hardware, software, and communication services.
Coordinate and schedule activities for System Administrators to support branch and regional operations.
Develop methodologies for testing network performance. Provide network performance statistics and reports. Establish best practices for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting end user assets, through RMM and MDM technology.
Establish service level agreements with end users. Implement helpdesk ticketing service. Review all equipment, hardware, and software purchases at the regional level. Manage the effectiveness of servers, including email, repositories, backup servers, and network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, and UPSs. Partner on security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems for endpoints.
REQUIREMENTS: BS Compute Science or Information Technology ideal; CCNP is a plus. Seek 8+ years of network operations experience with at least 3 years of supervision. Must have a strong knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies, cloud computing, virtualization technologies, SAAS, IAAS, network devices, firewalls, intrusion prevention, Remote Computing Delivery Services and security protocols. Must be willing to travel 30% in North America. No relocation-Local candidates only.
REWARD: $120,000 to $135,000 DOE plus bonus and excellent benefits.
