Due to promotion, the Program Leader will be the key liaison to a major client for existing and new product development.
OPPORTUNITY: This is a business partnering role with internal (engineering, production, sales, quality, etc.) and external stakeholders. Provide full product life-cycle phases from program approval through volume production. Supports sales and new business initiatives for major programs, new products and customer initiatives. Manage projects and programs; ensure the right product is developed to meet or exceed quality standards and that the product is delivered at the right time; facilitate internal/external communication; and track program(s) against schedule, budget and phase review objectives.
Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated occurrences. Recommend new processes, and lead efforts, to improve quality and/or on-time delivery. Work with customers to expand their understanding / knowledge of new materials / processes for current and future customer products and applications. Participate in new product design/intent with customer product development teams. Assist sales personnel with communicating technical discrepancies between expectations and specifications with the customer.
REQUIREMENTS: BS in Engineering, Applied Materials or Sciences. Seek 8+ years in a high technology sector that includes knowledge of advanced materials and their applications, with specific emphasis on ceramics and metal matrix composites. Ideal candidate will have program or account management experience.
REWARD: $110,000 to $130,0000 to start plus excellent benefits and rewards
